Dear Parents,
Communication is Key
We are aware that our website is down. We have been continually working on the issue and it is being addressed and repaired in the quickest manner possible. We hope to have it working again very soon.
Facebook: This is a wonderful communication tool. We are in the process of using Facebook as another avenue for continual communication with our families. Please find us on Facebook and like us to receive updates. https://www.facebook.com/St-Malachy-School-284388665005357/
Teacher blogs: Are you receiving weekly emails from your child’s teacher blog? If not please go to their blog and submit your email to join the subscription. This is a teacher's main tool for communicating with parents the great things going on in their classroom.
Principal notes: Do you get this newsletter each week? If not please sign up to receive a weekly email from this blog as well! I will use this as my main tool for communicating with families.
Text message: Do you receive periodic text messages from this school? We use this as an avenue for reminders to important updates. If you are not receiving texts please contact Mrs. Lane in our school office and she will get you signed up.
A few things to note:
Writers in the Middle - Writers in the Middle is an event that provides middle school students to hear from a well-known published author about his or her writing. In addition to hearing the author, the students break into small groups and share writing of their own that they bring with them. Students then receive feedback, generate new ideas, and polish their writing. Writers in the Middle is sponsored by Graceland University. We have 9 students from the middle school attending this event: 8th grade: Beau Thompson, Hannah Walsh, & Danika Schultes 7th grade:Sierra Myers, Cassie Ralston, & Molly Sickels 6th grade: Aiden Evans, Halle Evans, & Sophia Patterson.
