Dear Parents,
Teachers are preparing their Sign-ups for Parent-Teacher conferences. These should be coming out by email very soon. Conferences will be held on March 17th. We will be having another book fair during our conferences as well.
We have found a K-12 music person to fill in for Mrs. Mullin. Mrs. Melody Stoner will begin subbing for us on March 8th. She is very excited to be joining us and we are excited to have her here. She has skills teaching both band and vocal music.
Please mark your calendar for July 25, this is the day RAGBRAI is coming through Creston. Holy Spirit Church and St. Malachy school will be combining efforts to host a noodle dinner. We will be needing lots of school families and church families to help pull off this giant event. Please be watching for more details soon.
Next week, March 3rd we are hosting Rock in Prevention. Rock in Prevention helps children, teachers and parents learn the methods and skills to prevent bullying and drug use through music with their Rock workshops. Their workshops are developed to touch the hearts and minds of children, teachers and parents and help them make healthy choices.
We are very excited Kevin McGuire will be coming to our school on March 7th. He has been to the Nigerian Seminary that we are supporting this Lenten Season. He is going to share with our students the things he saw and learned while he was visiting the Seminary.
CTO - Catholic Tuition Organization
Last week, packets came home! CTO has over 3 millions dollars that they must give to families to help them finance their child’ K-12 Catholic Education. Many families in our school qualify for this funding. Please check the income guidelines and complete the application (online or paper form) by April 1, 2016. If you are right on the edge of the income guideline please apply.

SPIRIT DAYS - LENT
St. Malachy School will continue to participate in the Building the Kingdom Project this 2016 Lenten Season. All money collected during Lent Spirit days will go towards this project. Thank you for supporting the high school seminary, Holy Ghost Juniorate, in Nigeria.
